2010 Rates and Greens Fees

Rates are the same for both the Lakeside 18 and Woodside 18 courses. Below are:

Please remember -- we reserve tee times EVERYDAY (up to eight days in advance), and we host over 60 leagues, so it is wise to check the schedule before venturing out to the course.

Returning for its eighth year. we are no longer using the paper cards. Points earned in 2009 will carry over to 2010 (points are only zeroed after a full year of total inactivity). Points are earned based upon greens fees dollars paid. Using the card saves about $1.00 EVERY 9 holes or $2.00 EVERY 18 holes.

Please note our policies:

Taxes and Fees:
Each person on the course must pay applicable greens fees and/or cart fees (including small children or non-playing spectators). We ask that small children stay in the cart -- to avoid injuries & not distract other groups.

Greens fees include Elizabeth Township amusement taxes.
Cart fees & rentals include Pennsylvania and Allegheny County sales taxes.

Carts are required only during group outings.

Must be over 18 to drive a cart (even 'just for a minute').
* Junior = age 17 and under, or up to 22 with current student ID.
** Family includes juniors and accompanying adults.

Tee off & Pace:
We begin taking tee times eight days in advance. Call 412-751-9121.

We pair up golfers to make foursomes. No fivesomes. YOUR group probably CAN keep up, but some other group will watch and think they will try it, too. They won't be so speedy, and we'll have a big bottleneck.

The last tee off on Lakeside back 9 is two and a half hours before official sunset (chart is available in Golf Shop).

Our target pace is 4.5 hours. It is important to play ready golf and keep up with the group ahead of you. It is OK to pick up after 7 strokes and just putt out the hole.

Dress code: We kindly request that shirts be worn at all times, and soft spikes are preferred. We reserve the right to inspect all coolers -- since our entire course is licensed by the PA LCB, all alcoholic beverages must be purchased on our premises. Absolutely no glass containers are permitted on the course. This is not a complete list of our policies, but it covers the big topics.

Rain checks: Pro rata rain checks are available if scorecard and original receipt are presented in Golf Shop on the day that it rains.

Holidays: Butler's holidays are New Year's day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving

Twilight:

  • We'll put a signup sheet out one hour before twilight play begins (6:30pm in midsummer).
  • Write your name, number of players, and phone number on list. First come, first served.
  • At 10 minutes before twilight rate begins, we'll call names in order of list -- to begin to pay.
  • If full group is not present or ready when name is called, we'll call the next name.
    • If you write down four, all four must be there or someone has to pay for all four.
    • If you choose to pay for only two, then if your other players come later, they will have to write their names at the bottom of the list and wait their turn.
  • If you have been skipped, you will move to the top of the list as soon as all of your players are here.

Extra Evening Holes (Replay) Guidelines:
Are leagues allowed to play extra holes? Do twilight players get unlimited golf?

  • Available to any player who has a greens fee receipt from the current day (no holdovers, even for weather).
  • Play must begin on #1 or #10
  • It must be after 6:30 p.m. in summer (after 6/leagues in spring and fall)
  • It will be FREE to walk and just $4.00 to ride. (Exception: cart is free for a ONE-hole playoff only.)

Coupons: We are proud to participate in the PGO Coupon Book. It is very unusual for us to participate in other coupon programs. However, there are several unscrupulous companies who issue unauthorized coupons for area courses in print and online. We will not honor coupons that we have not authorized, so please call us to verify authenticity before you arrive if you plan to use any coupons other than those from the PGO book.
