Golfing Birthday Parties
While some families enjoy celebrating birthdays in our Banquet Room, others may wish to play a bit of golf.
Kids, ages 8-15, can enjoy a real golf experience at our Practice Area.
Highlights of our Driving Range Birthday Parties:
- Start at our Practice Area (parking available).
- Hit a basket of balls at the driving range,
- Play our 4-hole practice course (walking only),
- Break for food at our Arrowhead snack stand (picnic tables):
- We'll serve pizza or a hot dog (with pop or water)
- You are welcome to bring your own cake, ice cream or other treats
- Finish with a putting contest on our practice green.
- Birthday child receives a small free gift.
- Driving range party is $15/person (2007), including tax and service fee
- $15/person for the above, without the lesson.
- $19/person for the above, including the optional lesson.
Lesson + Range Party option:
- In addition to all of the above, you can schedule a group lesson.
- Lesson will be 1/2 hour at the beginning (before hitting range balls).
- Lesson + Range party is $19/person (2007), including tax and service fee.
Additional details:
- Minimum group size is 6 people, maximum of 16.
- The whole experience will last about 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Must have at least one adult walk along with every 4-6 children.
- If adults wish to golf and/or eat, they may pay the regular fee. If adults are simply on hand to assist, there is no fee.
- We can provide basic golf clubs (7-iron and putter) if noted in advance.
- Please note that we do not have a miniature / putt-putt course.
- Sneakers are the preferred footwear, and there is no additional dress code.
- There is a port-a-john available near the parking area and a real restroom at the snack stand.
- In case of inclement weather, we can reschedule. Please don't let a "chance of showers" stop you. The forecasts are often wrong and more dire than the actual weather. If you cancel altogether, we will retain your deposit. If you reschedule, we will apply it to the new date. In the event of lightning, we will go to a shelter.
- It is your responsibility to maintain control of everyone in your group at all times. For instance, there are homes near the practice area, and we must respect the privacy of our neighbors.
We will give a brief talk about safety, and you can help by talking about these points in advance:
- Golf is fun, but it's not a big joke -- you need to use your noggin at all times so you avoid serious injury from golf balls or clubs.
- Never walk in front of another person who is hitting (always stay even with them or behind). This means if your ball dribbles only 3 feet ahead at the driving range, you cannot run out to retrieve it.
- Keep a safe distance from others who are swinging (in all directions).
- Stop your own swinging if you see someone moving too close to you.
- On the 4-hole course, never hit if the group in front of you is still on the same hole as you.
- If you hit a ball that looks like it might hit another person, immediately yell "Fore!"
- If you hear someone yell "Fore!", do NOT look up. Look down and cover your head.
- During the party, the group must stay together. Anyone who doesn't stick with the group or follow instructions will be escorted to the parking area.
